Previous owners name to head of half title, otherwise quite bright and clean. With eight full page colour and thirty-five full page black and white illustrations by H.[enry] J.[ustice] Ford, (1860-1941), a friend of Burne-Jones and influenced by him (see Houfe, The Dictionary of 19th Century British Book Illustrators, page 140). Ford also designed the covers
