Three volumes complete - Volume One - [2], ii, viii, xii, (7)-212; Volume Two - [2], (5)-243pp, [1] and Volume Three - [2], (5)-284pp. Contemporary half-calf, raised bands, spines in six panels, morocco title label to second panel, matching volume label to fourth, gilt rules either side of bands.
Rubbed to extremities, corners slightly bumped and worn, small repair to head of spine of volume one, repair to front hinge and third panel of spine of volume three. Internally some light browning, occasional light foxing, plates trimmed with some off-setting.
Complete with thirty-six hand-coloured plates (eleven in volume one, twelve in volume two and thirteen in volume three).
The Cohn, Fattorini and Sir Robert Johnson Eden copy, with Cohn's address label to front pastedown and his Cruikshank designed bookplate to front marbled endpaper of volume one, bookplate of Sir Robert Johnson Eden to front marbled endpaper of volume one, with the Fattorini bookplate to front marbled endpaper of volumes two and three.
A decent copy of an uncommon work with excellent provenance.
