1322
[4], 259pp, [1], plates. Later full morocco by Riviere, raised bands, spine in six panels, title in gilt to second panel, illustrator to third, remaining panels gilt with flower head corner pieces and a central floral spray surrounded by small roundels and stars, covers with double fillet border, double fillet to edges, inner edges gilt, t.e.g.
Slightly rubbed to extremities, but externally very good. Internally some very light browning, some off setting from plates, but nothing too obtrusive. Previous owner's bookplate to front pastedown. With sixteen hand coloured aquatints by Rowlandson after the author's designs.
Tooley notes that it isn't "to be confused with another work published the following year with exactly the same title, but illustrated with twenty plates by Williams".
