Externally very good indeed, internally some slight colour bleed to half-title, occasional light foxing, but generally clean. The plate at page 76 is slightly grubby to foot and slightly worn to fore-edge, the plate at page 204 is grubby to edges with slight colour bleed to fore-edge.
Now housed in a cloth drop back box made by Temple Bookbinders, which replicates the design by Alfred Garth Jones found on the original cloth binding. The first edition with the misprint on page 13 line 3 'you' for 'your'.
