Full straight-grain morocco, smooth back divided into three unequal panels, gilt title to middle panel, remaining panels with gilt volute tooling, covers with triple fillet bordering a repeating flower and tree roll enclosed with a single fillet, inner panel of interlaced gilt corner pieces joined with a flower head and leaf roll in blind, upper cover with central gilt coat of arms of Ernest Augustus, Duke of Cumberland and later the King of Hanover, gilt roll to edges and inner edges, a.e.g.
Slightly rubbed to extremities, King of Hanovers ink stamp to reverse of title, otherwise internally quite bright and clean.
