Large late nineteenth century album containing pencil and watercolour crests. Full morocco, spine in six panels, title in gilt second panel, remaining panels with double fillet borders, volute corner pieces and sides, covers with large gilt outer frame with mitred corners surrounding an inner panel made up of volute ended columns and roundel corner pieces, upper cover with central coat of arms of Fairlie of Myers Castle, a.e.g., with 'spanish' pattern marbled endpapers, with working clasp (though new key). Rebacked by Temple Bookbinders to style, corners bumped and worn, minor loss to gilt on covers, internally bright and clean, attractively presented, with seven leaves of pencil and watercolour crests, predominantly Earldoms, and twenty leaves of coloured shields, Scottish in origin.
