Contemporary half vellum in the modern style, with cloth sides, smooth back with Chivers 'vellucent' decoration to spine, t.e.g. Spine slightly browned and foxed, hint of foxing to edges of text block, internally quite bright and clean. Rubricated initials throughout. Illustrations are by Garth Jones (1872-1955), who is probably best known as the illustrator of the cover design for Conan Doyle's 'Hound of the Baskervilles' (see Houfe, page 192). First published by Caxton in 1484, though this is an abridged version. One of fifty-six copies, (with fifty for sale), with this being number fifteen, printed on hand-made paper, and with the plates in two states, hand-coloured, and uncoloured on Japon vellum
