viii, 171pp, [1], contemporary full vellum by Chivers of Bath, in one of their characteristic painted vellucent bindings, smooth spine divided into three unequal panels with hand painted designs to first and third panel, title to second, third panel with mother of pearl inlay, upper cover with vignette within a border after Brock's frontispiece illustration, another mother of pearl inlay beneath, with the title with a border beneath, within a decorated panel enclosed with a single gilt rule, t.e.g.
Boards very slightly splayed, spine very slightly dulled, fore edge of text block lightly soiled, text slightly browned with occasional light foxing, but generally clean.
With eight full page colour illustrations by Brock.
