[60], publisher's original full calf, smooth back, title to spine in gilt, upper cover with gilt frame encompassing various panels made up of fruit, large volutes with author, title and illustrator above between and below two recessed embossed panel, decorative endpapers. Rebacked, with original spine laid on, rubbed to extremities. Internally quite bright and clean, all but two pages with original tissue guards. PRINTED ON VELLUM THROUGHOUT (except one page in colour which is on silk), number forty-nine of one hundred copies thus, signed by the illustrator to the limitation leaf. Quilter was better known as an art critic, see ODNB
