xvii, [1], 242pp. Full vellucent vellum binding by Chivers of Bath, spine and upper cover painted within a gilt border, spine with architectural columns and manuscript title, the upper cover with columns either side supporting a half-dome head with a lunette and swag, beneath the title is enclosed within a mosaic roundel, with an urn of fruit to the foot, the lower cover is gilt panelled, gilt rules to inner dentelles with a tudor rose tool to corners, t.e.g. Covers very slightly soiled and slightly splayed, very light foxing to first few pages and fore edge of text block, with light dampstain to bottom corner of the contents pages. With twenty-five colour illustrations by Brock as called for.
