Six (all issued) original parts. Original printed wrappers. Spines often chipped and some loss, numbers one and six rebacked, others with small repairs, covers with small nicks and tears but generally complete, slightly spotted. Internally some minor spotting, occasionally heavier, but generally fairly bright and clean. Corresponds to Hatton and Cleaver excepting the following - Part One lacks Dr De Jongh and Henry Brett adverts; Part Three lacks Chapman's Wheat Flour advert; Part Five lacks the Chapman and Hall advert and Part Six lacks both the Wilcox and Gibbs adverts. The uncommon 'Cork' advert in part two is present. Also included is a booklet on Dickens published by Chapman and Hall, all housed in a cloth chemise inside a leather backed slipcase, spine divided into six panels, with contrasting morocco title and author labels. The covers were illustrated by C.A. Collins, the brother of Wilkie Collins. Hatton and Cleaver 372-384
