309pp, [3], contemporary full crushed morocco by Zaehnsdorf, raised bands, spine in six panels, title in gilt to second panel, single fillet border to covers, gilt roll to inner edges, t.e.g., others untrimmed, Cockerell marbled endpapers. Very minor score to lower cover, ink stamp to one of the initial blanks, otherwise internally bright and clean throughout. Manuscript on japon vellum, written in black and red, colour illustrations throughout, with a colour frontispiece and one hundred and forty-two colour coats of arms, fourteen of which have been incorporated into larger illustrations. Housed in a cloth slipcase. The writer / illuminator has based this work on the printed book by Wagner, omitting some of the notes, but adding Mr Barnard's Heraldic Summary and the frontispiece is taken from Wagner's Heraldry in England (from the notes to the rear).
