Two volumes complete - Volume One - [6], vii-xlviii, 371pp, [1] and Volume Two - [4], v-xv, [1], 418pp, [2]. Original cloth in DJ's, t.e.g. DJ's lightly soiled, with several small tears and chips, particularly to corners, some loss to head and foot of DJ to first volume, just catching the publisher's name to foot to with loss of a couple of letters. Minor colour loss to head of cloth on second volume, one or two pages slightly chipped, but generally internally quite bright and clean. With the errata slip in volume two, titles in red and black. Complete with two photogravure frontispieces, four double page photographic plates, two hundred and seventy-one single page photographic plates, twelve colour plates and four folding maps/panoramas (to rear pocket).
