[8], 104pp, [8], vi, [2]. Full contemporary morocco for Queen Anne, later reback and repairs to corners, raised bands, spine in six panels, with gilt roundel and volutes to each panel, covers with gilt panel, with crowned royal cipher of Queen Anne to the four corners and volute pyramid tool to the middle of each side, in the centre of the front cover in gilt is 'Chapl Royal St James's', a.e.g. with comb and curl marbled endpapers (differing patterns to front and rear).
Rubbed to corners with tiny amount of loss to morocco on rear cover, eighteenth century ink inscription of 'Compton Place' to reverse of front marbled endpaper, modern 'Arts Department' ink stamp to reverse of ffep, otherwise internally quite bright and clean. Ruled in red throughout.
The anthems include works by Blow, Purcell, Aldrich and Croft himself.
