Modern full brown morocco, bevelled boards, raised bands, spine in six panels, title in gilt to second panel, author in third, upper cover with inset Cosway-style oval miniature of an Eagle Owl, gilt line to edges, gilt roll to inner edges, t.e.g., marbled endpapers, housed in a bevelled morocco entry, velvet lined, cloth slipcase. Externally very good indeed, internally quite bright and clean with sixteen tissue-guarded illustrations by Daglish. Limited edition of one hundred copies, this being copy forty-two, signed by the illustrator. Binding is by Sangorski and Sutcliffe / Zaehnsdorf
