Two volumes complete - Volume One - [4], xvi, 371pp, [1] and Volume Two - xv, [1], 381pp, [1]. Original quarter cloth and boards, original paper label to spines, in later green cloth, velvet backed dust wrappers, housed in a green slipcase with slightly defective morocco label. Boards very lightly spotted, internally some light browning to edges, but generally bright and clean. The Sadleir-Bradley Martin copy. Previous owners initials to upper cover ?'LbL', old booksellers label to front pastedowns (J. Bolster of Cork), with the book label of Michael Sadleir and the bookplate of H. Bradley Martin to front pastedowns (Lot 2607 in the Bradley Martin sale - Sotheby's New York, 1990, where they made $1600). A handsome original set with excellent provenance
