[10], 178pp, [6]. Contemporary half-morocco and marbled paper over boards, raised bands, spine in six panels, author and title lettered direct to second panel, remaining panels with triple fillet bordering four volutes and a small central roundel, all edges marbled, marbled endpapers.
Chipped to head of spine with some loss, with slight loss to first panel, outer joints and corners rubbed, paper covering boards slightly rubbed. Internally lightly browned, occasional light foxing, mainly to plates, but generally fairly bright and clean. Previous owner's armorial bookplate to front pastedown.
Eighteen plain plates by Eyton and G. Scharf and six colour plates by Ayton after Lear.
