Contemporary half morocco and marbled paper over boards, raised bands, spines in six panels, title in gilt to second panel, author / volume to fourth, remaining panels gilt, with central lozenge tool and volute corner pieces, original primrose endpapers, a.e.g. Slightly rubbed to corners and extremities, spines very slightly faded. Internally sporadic light foxing, occasionally heavier (mainly to volume two), but generally fairly bright and clean. Complete with a map/plan and one hundred plates. Large paper copy, Lowndes 1161
